Yanira
History:
Built in 1953 and launched in 1954, her first name was Ingeborg in honor of the wife and the daughter of Ragnar Appelgren, the Norwegian cosmetics Industrial who commissioned her construction. It is a unique model designed by Bjarne Aas under the international rule “12 meter Racing Class”. That Norwegian naval architect was famous for their regatta hull designs, like the IOD Class (International One Design).
After nine different owners, the yacht belongs to a new team since 2013 leaded by the spanish Andrés de León Ramón-Borja, to continue writing the story of this incredible sailboat.
